Re: Confederations Cup
a disappointing loss but i was very impressed with the US over the last 3 matches and i hope that they can carry that into the Gold Cup, World Cup Qualifying, and the World Cup next year!

Re: Confederations Cup
It's disappointing but the tournament has been very positive overall. There are a few key things US can take away from it. First of all, they got the experience of beating a top world team. Secondly, they played with more heart and concentration the past three games than they've had in a long time. And a third thing is that prior to this tournament, the US fanbase was panicking that we have no depth at the defender position, but Bradley found a very very effective back line in Bocanegra outside, Demerit and Onyewu inside, and Spector outside on the other side. No more DeMarcus Beasley at left back. Even Bornstein got some valuable playing time against the best of the best. Going off that, a few other young players got valuable experience too, including Charlie Davies, Altidore, Ricardo Clark, even Benny Feilhaber and to an extent Brad Guzan. In terms of valuable things to carry into WC Qualifying and the actual WC, it was a very good US campaign. I can't wait to see how they play in Mexico in August.
