Very exciting game in Manchester today. Anyone watch?

Two flukey calls gave City their two goals. The corner awarded was very obviously not a corner (off of which City scored its 2nd goal). The penalty was iffy; the first shirt tug was outside the box, and while Rafael continued a bit inside, it just didn't seem like enough to warrant a penalty. I think it should have been a yellow (which it was anyway) and a free kick just outside the box.

But overall, City just looked like the ...

If any of you missed the game, or haven't seen the highlights yet, AC Milan defeated Siena 4-0 in Serie A.

Ronaldinho was simply amazing in the game as he scored a hat trick, and looks like he is very close to being back at top form...

His 3rd goal in the game is worthy of being shown alongside any one of his goals...

As an American, it takes something special for me to follow a Championship team. Like our long time assistant coach at New England Revolution (who functions more like a co-head coach w/ Nicol), Paul Mariner going to Plymouth.

I followed Peterborough for about a year under Darren Ferguson, and was disappointed when he was sacked. Now he's BACK w/ Preston North End. Guy's a beast. He just has a very cool temperament that I really like in a manager, one similar to his dad's but even better, ...

As above after their 4th defeat of the season is this is it for Liverpool? I can't see them winning anything this year, they haven't looked brilliant with the golden 2 in, without them as proven they are a mid table team (under Rafa's guidance anyway!) Rafa has to be due some credit for finding Torres etc but then he let Alonso go and it's all going south, i for one am gutted because i wanted to see United not win it!! But i can only see Chelsea or Arsenal taking it to them now. Present form ...

Well i was just going over my fantasy team and i thought Ivan Klasnic deserved a mention, scoring for fun after coming back from 2 kidney transplants, think he has 4 in 4 (not including assists). Apparently Megson has been offered him for £1.4m, but MEgson is not sure, well i hope Sam jumps in for that kind of silly money, we are desperate for a striker!!!

I am confused about why awards like the ballon d'or are given out in december, at the end of the calendar year.

The standard seasons for european clubs run from late august/early september to may. Shouldn't awards be given out after the champions league final or something like that, not in december. Giving the awards out now makes voters consider 3 full months of games in a NEW season, as well as the entire previous season for a player...

Does anyone know why awards aren't given out ...
